Youth Citizenship Scholarship Recipients
Amanda Guimont - 2011 Recipient

Amanda Guimont is the daughter of Dan and Julie Guimont of Anoka. Amanda has been an active volunteer and leader in the community in many ways. At Anoka High School Amanda maintains an excellent GPA. She has served as an officer in her 4-H club for five years, three of those as president.
She been a leader in your church’s Youth Worship Team and served through many activities at her church. In addition to her leadership roles in music and drama she made blankets, packed food. Through 4-H she done community service projects and worked with children in a variety of ways. She has co
ached a girls soccer team and and participated in a fundraising walk for Autism research. Amanda has done projects for seniors and children, been to New Orleans on a mission trip, and worked on projects for needs in Africa. After graduation Amanda plans to study Equine Science at the University of Minnesota in Crookston.
Joseph Evavold - 2011 Recipient
Joseph Evavold is the son of Linda and Thomas Evavold of Andover. He has shown leadership and volunteered his time through sports, church, and school while maintaining a high GPA. Joseph serves on the Leadership Council at Anoka High School. As a trained member of the Council he serves as a liaison to the principal and is a role model for younger students. Joseph is active in leadership in his church. He has worked closely with his youth minister to increase participation and expand activities for the youth program. He has taught Sunday School and been a crew leader for Vacation Bible School. He has volunteered as a youth tennis instructor with ARYAA and been named Captain of his high school tennis team. After graduation Joseph plans to attend St Thomas University to study International Business and Sports and Entertainment marketing to pursue a career that combines his passions for sports and Spanish.
