Hey guys! It's getting to be that time of the year again!  The clock is ticking for AHS Junior students to apply for Youth Citizenship Scholarship.  We are taking in applications from dates May 1st - June 15th!

All downloads, printing, filling, snail mail applications and anything else addition must be in by the given deadline!  This year, we have two $800 scholarships to offer!  One male, and one female who have made exemplary and outstanding contributions to the community will qualify to send in an application!  This includes being involved through volunteerism, involvement and leadership within your school and community!

Again, this goes for current Juniors at AHS - who ever the great two are, will be awarded at the Pumpkin Bowl in the fall!  To find out more information and to fill out an application, please click the link to our applications page [here]!  We hope to see many new qualified faces this year!

Thank you to everyone who helped the Halloween Capital of the World® celebrate Halloween this year. Wonderful weather contributed to the largest attendance ever at our Grand Day Parade, which is always a community favorite. With over 25 events hosted by Anoka Halloween, Inc. during the twelve days of this year's festival, there were many opportunities for everyone in the family to dress up and enjoy the Halloween season. More events and tens of thousands of people attending them are just a few ways to measure the success of the 91st year of providing a safe, positive, family-friendly, Halloween celebration! Thank you for joining us!

Even though I haven't been around too long yet, I got a nice preview of how some of things are put together. I'm hoping it will be enough information to put together some planning for 2012 to help all the volunteers with the promotions of each one of the events. We will be touch!
